camcorder?

When I hook my jvc mini dv camcorder to my computer, the computer is not acknowleding the device. It didn' t have any software with it, nor does it say anything in the instructions. What do I do to download my video to my computer????

Assuming that you've used a firewire connection, the PC won't tell you there's a new device connected. Your video capture app will be able to see it though.

You might need to download some software to make it read it
