You have every right to have your own day. Just name the day you want and then convince everybody as to the reason it should be on that particular day

Atheism entails, minimally, the disbelief[1] in the existence of any deities. So what are you going to celibrate?
You might consider Festivus. "A Festivus for the rest of us!". Nothing in the festivus is connected to a religion. There is no external belief only celibrating the self. It could be alot of fun.
1. Airing of Grievances
At the Festivus dinner, you gather your family around, and tell them all the ways they have disappointed you over the past year!
2. Feats of Strength
Traditionally, the head of the household selects one person at the Festivus celebration and challenges that person to a wrestling match.
3. Festivus Miracles
Since the miracles are more like coincidences they can not be ascribed to a diety.
The holiday is celebrated each year on December 23, but many people celebrate it at other times, often to avoid the holiday rush.

What for? You celebrate yourselves and only yourselves every day.
Read in the Bible in 2 Tim 3:2-5 about the
concept of "men will be lovers of themselves" (verse 2) continuing in verse 5: ...
The love of self is the basic sin, from which all others flow. The moment a man makes his own will the center of life, divine and human relationships are destroyed, obedience to God and charity to men both become impossible. The essence of Christianity is not the enthronement but the obliteration of self.
If you would only dare to believe.

"I just wanted to know why atheists don't get one and most other religions have a celebration."
Well... Atheism is not a religion as such.. just like *not* believing in fairies is not a religion also... It is not seen as necessary to have a special day to celibrate a "dis-belief"
I dont believe in god or the fairies ... thus i dont set aside a special day to celibrate it ... there are just too many "non-beliefs" to celibrate all in one year :-)

I nominate Boxing Day. We can sit around after all the who ha of Christmas and relax without guilt or have to's.
Since the Church and State are linked atheist appear to be linked with anarchy. They instill fear in those who like to control by guilt.

It is called May Day. This is the day of the Atheists to come out and celebrate man, who they have chosen to be their "god" in place of "God."
