It's highly possible that you have a beef intolerance or allergy, I believe it would be the former based on my knowlege of the subject. With intolerance you can develop it at any time in your life without any rational explaination. In some instances you would also (not necessarialy) be itolerent of milk products as well.
Some reactions to an allergy are gas pains, vomiting, fatigue, breakouts (looking like acne) and diaherria. If these are your symptoms, first go a week without eating it to see what happens. If the breakouts clear up and you do not have any of the other reactions, then I suggest you stay away from beef alltogether.
Stick to turkey burgers, chicken, pork and any other substitute.

Is it possible that you are allergic to a certain spice? Something that is put on the beef at the restaurant and at home. Is the meat prepackaged (handled in a factory) or fresh cut ( cut by a butcher)?

Many restaurants age their beef longer than you buy from the grocery store and your stomach may no be used to the longer enzyme break down of the meat. It even smells a little strong but is usually OK to eat or they add different spices that we don't use at home and may not be used to..I'am sure restaurants will not sell meat that is rotten.

You could be allergic to it, or any of the properties in it. Meat contains growth hormones, steroids, antibiotics, blood, pus, urine, fecal matter, purines, uric acid, and all manner of other hormones and stuff. Its is sanitized with bleach and peroxide. I am allergic to chlorine, and had bad reactions when I ate beef or pork. I was crippled for over 12 years with lupus and arthritis. When I went vegetarian, I healed completely. Consider having allergy testing done. Meat contains "amines" which get worse with aging. If you are sensitive to amines in foods, aged beef could cause you worse symptoms

I know that beef is very hard to digest. It takes 48 hours, and your body has to work really hard to digest it.
