She is about 15 years old...in good health otherwise....this has been happening for a while...The vet gave her no medicine and seemed to dismiss it as being caused by her age....After getting sick she seems to be fine...and actually can turn right around and eat again...I was wondering if maybe she had something like acid reflux ..like humans....All suggestions appreciated....

Because she is getting older, her stomach is probably a lot more sensitive then usual. I would suggest changing her food to something for sensitive stomachs, or to a food for senior cats. Your little senior citizen needs to settle her stomach! Most of any premium, name-brand cat food will do, so long as it is sensitive stomach or senior cat. Science Diet is a bit more expensive but it has worked miracles for all of my cats and you can even get prescription Science Diet from your vet if you think she is still having stomach problems.

your vets right .there is nothing that can help your cat stop vomiting but the best thing you can give her is love and attention and she will pull through and be the same cat as she was before just keep the cat in good shape and good health and if she gets worse go to a diffrent vet.a second oppinion never hert or you could do that now and see what a nother vet has to say but this is the best advice I can give you right now.

I have had many cats, your cat is eating an then trying to throw up an get read of hair balls in stomach. Some times it will be just water, you may see it or not .some times it will be the food it just ate. It will always be right after eating.
