Michigan Compiled Laws 257.710e lists people who don't have to wear safety belts including commercial vehicles that make frequent stops. Does this include taxi drivers and tow truck drivers (i.e. wreckers) and UPS drivers? Anybody else not have to wear a seat belt?

I recently took drivers ed and my instructor who happens be a state trooper has informed me that the Michigan seatbelt law is everyone in front wears a seatbelt. Anyone under the age of 16 in the back must wear a seatbelt. So if you are 16 or older you do not have to wear a seatbelt. If you sit in the front you must wear a seatbelt. I've seen UPS drivers driving next to me with their doors open in the summer. They wear their seatbelt (at least the one I saw did).
