How does acidonic brain death work? I'm specifically wondering why the brain is affected so much faster than other organs.

Hi. The condition is caused by too much carbon dioxide. The pH of the blood is affected and, since the brain uses quite a bit of blood, it is more vulnerably. Just a layman's view.
