MB, I didn't say I couldn't take the heat, only that I want to turn it up on them.

rosbif, so by logic you must mean evolution. Your logic states that life just happened, and you call that logic?

As this is the R&S section and the non-believers come here to start arguments,
surely it is they that started it. If not, then they wouldn't be here, would they?

With the tripe thats being taught in the churches, do you really think that they should be blamed for not believing in anything at all? I mean, think about it.
Your parents send you to sunday school, where you are taught that Eve ate an apple, and God was so angry with her for that piece of fruit, that He condemned an entire world for it? Obviously, thats all a lie, but that is an example of what is being taught.
Do you remember that Ad campaign from the "Partnership for a Drug-free America"??
Now, its just a joke on a teeshirt. Why?
Because when kids saw the egg frying in a pan, and were told this is your brain on drugs, and then those same kids on Friday nite saw seven or eight of their friends get high, and they are absolutely fine - the kids realized they were being lied to.
And ya know what? There isn't a kid from here to hell who would do anything more than laugh at any Ad they come up with.
Once you lie to kids, thats it - they won't listen to you, even if you do have some truth to tell them. You are discredited.
This is what has happened in the area of Religion. People were not given the truth, so why the heck should they believe any of it?
It is written that Christ is to return this time not as a lamb to the slaughter, but as a King, and He will carry with Him a rod of iron (thats for correction). And quess where Christ intends to visit first? Those churches that taught lies. They are responsible for what you see today, and God is not happy about it. Will he throw all those children into hell because they were lied to? Certainly not. They will be taught the
truth.
I wouldn't be too quick to start a war with them; God would be better served if you started a "war of words" with those churches who teach nonsense to the children of God. They are the ones with a whole lot to be accounted for.

I agree with John Doe.
And I agree that there is apparently a war going on here.
The good news is that it isn't really our battle, but the Lord's. And there is something we can that is far more constuctive than fighting back by arguing. And that is to pray for them. Pray that the eyes of their understanding be opened, that the veil be removed from their eyes, and that God reveal Himself to them in a way they will understand and receive
God be praised
This is my challenge to all believers in R&S

I believe you have already done that. You are constantly dissing us because we believe in God. Yes you have feedom of speech in this country, but with priveliges come responsibilities. You must not harm or disrespect others. You must not use vulgarities and perversedness when you talk abut God. Now you talk of "jihad" with words. All right, my man, do as you like. I, for one will ignore all of yo if you if you get nasty in your discussions.

Naw... let's not treat them the way they treat us. Let's be the better person and show them the love of Christ in words and actions. The Bible says to give your "enemy" a cold drink and treat them with kindness when they heap insults on you. That will have greater impact than stooping to their level. Peace.

How about everyone just "grows up" a little and conducts themselves with a little maturity and dignity...or is that too much to ask?

Some - probably a minority - come here to discuss legitimate issues.

Some come here to try to respond to those questions to the best of their ability.

And some just come for malicious entertainment.

What a cesspool...

No, there is no need to fight ignorance with ignorance.
My God tells me to show them Love.
I am not a Muslim and I do no Jihad on anyone.
There is a spiritual battle to be fought, fight the good fight and leave the rest to God.

Yawn
Ok, Hammurabi, I guess we're back to "An eye for an eye."
And, I love how you refer to yourself as a 'type.' Truer words have never been spoken, since all you are doing is furthering the stereotype of religious intolerance and ignorance. (Care to specify what kind of words this so-called non-believer jihad uses?)

Why bother? It would only make us seem to be like them. I'd rather walk a different path and let God deal with others. He'd be more just than I ever could be.
