Hi - I tried to lighten my light/ medium brown hair at home with a one-step blonding kit. Well, of course it came out yellow-orange. Please tell me a product to buy to make it dark blonde or light brown again with no green tones. Many thanks.

Hmmm, sounds like you may need professional advice. You can either go to a salon (might be your best bet) , or to Sally (sometimes they give good advice, sometimes not), or call the helpline # on the box of color (I'd start here). Continuing to fool with it on your own is asking for trouble. It's happened to me, so I am speaking from personal experience. You don't want to keep putting one color over another til you end up with not only a strange color, but damaged hair that is beyond help. Good luck :)

all you can try do is try a darker shade or a light brown .. but unfortunately it may come down to going to a proffessional my aunt did this once tried to go from a brown to a blonde at home she ended up with a MESS and having to spend hours getting her hair professionally stripped of all coloring and re dyed... this is why i dont mess around i go to the salon and get it done im afraid of what i could do to myself and have to walk around with .. that and my stylist would probably kill me if he heard that tried it at home lol

you will have to get a dark brown and hopefully that will work untill all that green comes out or you might try washing it a couple of times to remove all the previous color and yes it will wash out . good luck .

I am a man marrried to a woman with beautiful hair and all i can tell you is she uses high grade olive oil and hot towels on her hair she leaves the hot towels on a long time then shampoos it.it'sreal pretty and it's natural color,i'm proud of her apperance and she doesn't fool around with hair coloring stuff!
