10 - You vigorously deny the existence of thousands of gods claimed by other religions, but feel outraged when someone denies the existence of yours.
9 - You feel insulted and "dehumanized" when scientists say that people evolved from other life forms, but you have no problem with the Biblical claim that we were created from dirt.
8 - You laugh at polytheists, but you have no problem believing in a Triune God.
7 - Your face turns purple when you hear of the "atrocities" attributed to Allah, but you don't even flinch when hearing about how God/Jehovah slaughtered all the babies of Egypt in "Exodus" and ordered the elimination of entire ethnic groups in "Joshua" including women, children, and trees!
6 - You laugh at Hindu beliefs that deify humans, and Greek claims about gods sleeping with women, but you have no problem believing that the Holy Spirit impregnated Mary, who then gave birth to a man-god who got killed, came back to life and then ascended into the sky.
5 - You are willing to spend your life looking for little loopholes in the scientifically established age of Earth (few billion years), but you find nothing wrong with believing dates recorded by Bronze Age tribesmen sitting in their tents and guessing that Earth is a few generations old.
4 - You believe that the entire population of this planet with the exception of those who share your beliefs -- though excluding those in all rival sects - will spend Eternity in an infinite Hell of Suffering. And yet consider your religion the most "tolerant" and "loving."
3 - While modern science, history, geology, biology, and physics have failed to convince you otherwise, some idiot rolling around on the floor speaking in "tongues" may be all the evidence you need to "prove" Christianity.
2 - You define 0.01% as a "high success rate" when it comes to answered prayers. You consider that to be evidence that prayer works. And you think that the remaining 99.99% FAILURE was simply the will of God.
1 - You actually know a lot less than many atheists and agnostics do about the Bible, Christianity, and church history - but still call yourself a Christian.

the bible is not an "evil" book for there is no such thing as evil as a separate entity. evil is simply on the far right end of the spectrum of "bad" things that are done or that happen to and by people. the stories in the bible are meant to illustrate both the good and bad qualities of human nature and are relative to the culture and the times in which those stories were written. the bible is, after all, a collection of 66 'books' written over a time span of some 1600 years and each of these books was hand selected from a choice of hundreds, by 'the church' in order to advance their world domination agenda...THAT is the real evil contained in the bible.

Here's my kindergarten explanation, meaning it's
in a layman's terminology. The Bible consists
of Historical Events, parables, proverbs, an
encrypted section on how the world will end.
Besides the Ten, there are probably 10,000
other things that various Hebrews and Jewish
say I shouldn't do. Jesus Christ is supposedly
a divinely conceived person who has various
supernatural powers. I have a friend who has
a dozen books recently written that have totally
new evaluations of who and what Jesus Christ
was.
The Bible is not evil, you've probably been
hanging around with those kids smoking the
funny-smelling cigarettes. Your beliefs should
be your own and you don't have to believe
a shred of The Bible. And you will not be
sent to a concentration camp to die if you
live in the USA and don't believe in the Bible.
You might believe Kahlil Gibran, but you don't
have to be Indian to read his stuff.

Exterminate 7 Nations
You must destroy all the nations the LORD your God hands over to you. Show them no mercy and do not worship their gods. If you do, they will trap you. Perhaps you will think to yourselves, 'How can we ever conquer these nations that are so much more powerful than we are?' But don't be afraid of them! Just remember what the LORD your God did to Pharaoh and to all the land of Egypt. Remember the great terrors the LORD your God sent against them. You saw it all with your own eyes! And remember the miraculous signs and wonders, and the amazing power he used when he brought you out of Egypt. The LORD your God will use this same power against the people you fear. And then the LORD your God will send hornets to drive out the few survivors still hiding from you! "No, do not be afraid of those nations, for the LORD your God is among you, and he is a great and awesome God. The LORD your God will drive those nations out ahead of you little by little. You will not clear them away all at once, for if you did, the wild animals would multiply too quickly for you. But the LORD your God will hand them over to you. He will throw them into complete confusion until they are destroyed. He will put their kings in your power, and you will erase their names from the face of the earth. No one will be able to stand against you, and you will destroy them all. (Deuteronomy 7:16-24 NLT)

In Numbers 31 God, through Moses, tells the Israelites to make war on the Midianites. You may recall Moses lived among them and married the daughter of one of their Sheiks when he murdered a man and fled Egypt. The Isrealite soldiers are victorious and have taken the Midianite women and children captive. Moses if furious that they didn't massacre everyone as he intended, but he compromises, telling them to kill all the women and male children and divide the virgin girls among themselves, clearly not to be housekeepers as their virgin status would have nothing to do with this.
So here we have:
Genocide
Execution of non-combatant women and chidlren captives
Force concubinage of capitve females
Now, mind you, the solider instincts were civilized, i.e to spare the lives of the non-combatants. It was the prophet of God, speaking for God, who insisted they commit what all nations recognized as despicalbe war crimes for which the perpetrators should be hung.
Since these orders came from "God" anyone that believes this must engage in hypocrisy and denial or concede that the Israelite God is not good, merciful nor just, thus not perfect, thus not any more worthy of worship than a devil, particularly since Christians, when confronted by examples of such behavior by outsiders, always assert the evil and demonic character of such war crimes.

Eat the food as you would a barley cake; bake it in the sight of the people, using human excrement for fuel." 13 The LORD said, "In this way the people of Israel will eat defiled food among the nations where I will drive them."
14 Then I said, "Not so, Sovereign LORD! I have never defiled myself. From my youth until now I have never eaten anything found dead or torn by wild animals. No unclean meat has ever entered my mouth."
15 "Very well," he said, "I will let you bake your bread over cow manure instead of human excrement."

When God got Noah to build the arc and take two of every animal so he could commit genocide on the entire world and end it. How that horrible deed got to become a childhood fable and be a story of compassion is totally ludicrous and demented. That was actually when Lucifer the Arch Angel of White Light questioned God and got kicked out of the heavens. Ironic that the question Lucifer asked was why God was ending all of mankind. I think the bad guy is so obviously shown in this true fact.

I find it interesting that beyond the "juvenile" throwing out of the killing of the first borns of egypt that no one is really able to answer your question.
So maybe the question isn't able to stand up to the scrutiny.. therefore one could surmise that the bible isn't evil.. hmmm.... that might turn some smoke.... :)

God did not create evil only the potential for evil. Man actualized that evil. The Bible does tell of the evil that man has done. Some people only look at what God's consequence for their evil was rather than what there actions were.
