What could this be?

My daugther woke up this morning with scratches on her face!!
they look like if a cat had scratch her face. She denies doing it herself.

she's 11 years old

not the first time this happens

She colud have night terrors . They are like nightmares but worse the child is truley scared and sometimes acts out the dreams

That is very odd, I see why you're concerned. I hate to say it, but the first thing that came to my mind was mice. Although I've lived with a mouse problem before when living in the country and never had that happen.

Well if it is scratches then someone scratched her. Maybe she did it in her sleep and didn't realize? Either way avoid any lotions that have perfume or dyes as this could irritate it more.

well maybe she is not denying it but does not remember doing it because she was asleep. or maybe the cat did it but i would think that would have woke her up.

How old is she, do you have a cat? Many things are unanswered here. She could have done it, does she have a rash on her face?

she may have done it during sleep and not know it
some children have bad night terrors where they can't wake up and don't even realize what they are doing!
do you have a cat?or other siblings that could have done it?

HI, HOW OLD IS YOUR DAUGHTER. MAY BE SHE DID IT IN HER SLEEP. DO YOU HAVE A CAT MAY BE THE CAT DID IT. I THINK THAT SHE DID IT WHEN SHE WAS SLEEPING THAT IS WHY SHE DENIES IT.

maybe she did it in her sleep, and doesn't remember doing it, is skin dry or does she have eczema, try putting some cream on her face just before bed. or maybe she had a nightmare.
