but even cockroaches are created by God, so perhaps one should not kill them in such vicious manner. Afterall, it is we who have created their population boom, by not managing the food economics at home properly - leaving tiny bits of food fragments in the kitchen etc. Maybe God created these helpers to eat up the food in the nook and cranny, otherwise dangerous bacteria or fungus (with its spores) would have bred on them and harm our health upon contact? Once I watch someone spray insecticide in the the cupboard full of plates - wantonly; for the kill, and I went thinking, don't she knows the poison will get into her food chain and poison herself instead if she forgets to wash the plate before using them. Dammit, maybe it's bad karma for herself. So I hope people will appreciate life. Having said that I have resorted to using cockroach traps (food bait on a superglue -which work amazingly), at least I feel less guilty, knowing that it is will not be my fault ithey get stuck.

Why limit it to just religious people? There are others equally wicked and wanton.
Everyone should do their part to step on a cockroach square on its back with a barefoot, so you can feel the "pop" when you got it just right.
Or if you can't find anything on TV, and have seen everything on youtube, then flip the bugger on its back and watch it do a dance trying to right itself. Mighty entertaining.
At last resort, let them be free range, and entertain them by keeping Joe's Apartment on repeat.
Those folks at Raid and Blackflag should be ashamed of themselves. Let your foot do the stomping. All other deaths of roaches should be considered "cruel and unusual."
Does PETA know about this?

What? Hell no, I'm gonna kill anything that
has too many legs.......period. Besides, its
not like you're gonna exterminate the entire
species.....God knows, New York has enough of them to fill the world time and time again. Personally though, I have never seen a roach in person. And I have no reason whatsoever to want to visit New York. (I'm from Pennsylvania).

No. "Technically" though, i.e. within the framework of their religion, it could be. Some Buddhists (e.g.) take "non-killing" to such extremes that they strain their water so as not to ingest and involuntarily kill the microorganisms.
Needless to say, this sort of approach is futile, not to mention impractical.

You are right. We should just let God's judgement fall on the land. Like the good ole days.

No, we have the right to defend ourselves. Roaches spread germs and disease, so killing them protects humans. Thou shalt not kill, is referring to murdering people.
