at the end of my swim season i got this weird rash that looked like a flea bite but bigger. i thought it would go away but it has spread. i now have almost ten on my left thigh and 1 on my right thigh. two that have just formed (about 2 days ago) are getting bigger and itch, sting, and burn when my clothes rub up against it. there is no way that it is soap or laundry detergent, because i havent switched. please help!

Sure it isn't ringworm, it starts out small and gradually gets larger and can easily spread to other parts of your body, it is very contageout to other people too. here is a link that shows some photos, this problem can be taking care of by applying an antifungal cream like nizerol a couple of times a day.

It could actually be an allergic reaction to your soap. Just because you haven't changed soaps doesn't mean you have gotten an allergic reaction to it. Your body over time changes and become super sensitive to chemicals. My daughter had almost the same thing and we kept seeing doctors and getting different types of drugs and every thing for her. One day we went to buy some laundry soap and they didn't have our normal kind so we bought some thing else and low and behold the rash type bubbles vanished. So before you go sinking all kinds of money into doctor bills try changing your laundry soaps and your regular soap. Those are the 2 chemicals that come into contact with your entire body every day.

Sounds like you got into some chiggers. They will go away on their own accord, usually within 2 weeks, if you leave them alone. Try dabbing calamine lotion or anti-itch cream on the itchy spots. Just try not to scratch or they will get worse. I know they are miserable because I have had them myself. Sometimes, when the itch gets intense, just slapping them may help. Also, bathing in epsom salts or colloidal oatmeal may help decrease itchiness and speed healing.

you may have gotten something from the water, maybe a weird sting from a parasite of sorts. best solution is to see a doctor, a dermatologist, and get their opinion. do not scratch -- it'll leave an ugly scar and may make your skin darker... =c
