Since you are not Kosher or Orthodox, you can eat anything you want to. The meaning to the ceremony is lost if you don't believe what it teaches.

If you don't keep kosher, it doesn't matter what you eat, on Pesah or any other time! But if you want to make the effort for a week, as some of us occasionally do, if food is kosher for passover, it will be clearly labeled as such. Believe it or not, lots of kosher food isn't kosher for passover because the bar is raised to exclude leavened bread. You have to use matzo instead. So pay attention, read the labels, and you'll be alright.

I don't think there are any regular cereals that can be eaten on Passover. Everything starts with that wheat mush and grains and stuff. Head over to the Kosher For Passover area and pick up a box of cereal.
Personally, I think they all taste terrible! You're best off frying some matzah with eggs, honey, cinnamon, and sugar. A sweet substitute!

none of the conventional cereals will work if you want to go kosher for passover. they do make kosher for passover cereals similar to cheerios and like a chocolate cheerios that we used last year (like the other poster said, it was on the label.) i want to say they were manishewitz brand. we got a brownie mix from them as well it wasn't terrible.
some bigger cities carry these items. we have also ordered online but it's seems like it is a lot more expensive to do so, even though we have to drive nearly 5 hours away to get our passover stuff.

Well I'm glad your not Kosher, for that would make you a consumable product. I am not aware of any cereals that may be eaten. Read the box label, if they have leaven (yeast) in it then you can't have it. Most bread / grain store bought items do have yeast in them. No pancakes either but you can eat stuff like eggs, grits, oatmeal. See if you have a specialty ethnic store in your area. For an item to be kosher it is also a question of what equipment was used to manufacture and package it, it goes beyond what type of food it is.

I would think that you would want to research the Bible as to what to avoid during passover and go from there.

I don't allow any books of uncertain origin dictate anything I do. Apart from following a vegetarian diet I eat what I want. Guess what? I have been doing it for years and have not once been smited.
