Yes, it's normal...I had spotting for about a month before I had my first actual period after my son was born.

It can take several months to get a normal period so don't panic. I'm thinking that all the afterbirth didn't pass and your body is getting rid of it and that's ok unless you start running a fever. If you do your Dr needs to know and you might need a d&c. Good Luck and God Bless

Sounds normal to me. All of those hormones really take a toll on your body and it takes awhile to readjust to not being pregnant. I say keep a panty liner on just in case and unless you have any foul smelling discharge, don't worry too much about it. Be sure to use protection in the meantime, because you never know when you'll start ovulating again.

Its not unusual to have that kind of spotting after a baby. I bet around this time next month you have a somewhat normal period. It just takes the body time to readjust.

First...CONGRATULATIONS on your new baby!
Second, it sounds fairly normal...every woman is different. Remember your body just went thru a huge undertaking and is still trying to recover and restart the cycle (which can take longer that we want!). I've heard it taking up to 3 months for women who bottlefed their baby.
Watch out for the warning signs though...fever, cramps, flu like symptoms. If you start getting any of these, get to your doctor or the emergency room RIGHT AWAY! You could have something wrong (infection) that needs to be dealt with immediately---yes, it is a life or death kind of problem at that point.
I would call my doctor's nurse or my baby's pediatrician and tell them, just to be sure.
Good luck!

It sounds like your body is trying to regulate itself. You should be having a normal period before too long.

nicely womans well-being has to do with classes and pms exceptionally lots 80% of the time yet mens well-being can do with something from std's to colds and flu's to penis length to condom determination
