well personally I find it creepy when someone comes up to me and ask me "hey do you like me or something?" so what I would do is I would just regularly talk with that person and eventually he will get the nerve if he really likes you, the key is patience.

Flirt with him and see if he flirts back. When you build up the nerve, ask him to go out with you somewhere.
