Im a dentist. I have done some cleaning using a mirror, but nothing mayor like fillings or anything like that. Besides, there is no need to because we get great discount on dental work by our fellow dentists, lol.
My wife is a dentist, she gives me a good discount. However I do sufer a lot for some wierd reason when I ask her even to use a dental mirror to check on something... wonder why.. lol

A dentist that works on his own teeth has a fool for a patient.

Why should they have to if they look after there own teeth properly? People mainly have to do dental work because they have been to lazy to properly look after there own teeth.
Dentists should know!

I'm a dentist.
It depends on the doctor, and it depends on the work. I know a dentist who did a root canal on his own upper front tooth and pulled one of his own molars. I'd imagine, though, that the vast majority of dentists do not work on their own teeth.
And when you think about it, why would we? We have plenty of colleagues who would likely do it for us at reduced fees or even for free.
Personally, I'd have a hard enough time just giving myself an injection.

that is a dumb question! No that is impossible. Usually any dental practice has more than 1 dentist. Therefore their partner does dental work on them, if they need it. They have their dental hygienists clean their teeth.

Not generally. It's a bit difficult to stare at the mirror while filling up a cavity.
