I have started to attend church groups since last month. I have had small talks with a 25 yo ladee I met at one group. I've talked to her a few times - there were times where I had to cut off the conversation because it was getting late.

she asked for my email and number last week which I politely gave her. she was going to send me more information on the group which she did. why does she need my number for that?

Today I went to one of their activities day. She was there all dressed nice with (might i add) the nice shoes. When she was leaving with her friends she said if I want to have coffee to discuss anything.

I'm new to the church scene so I'm not sure what is appropriate behaviour...

How is that inappropriate? It sounds like she just wants to be friends outside of the church group.

Maybe she sees you as someone that she would like to get to know better. Or this could just be her way of making you feel welcomed into the group. So far it doesn't seem as if she has done anything inappropriate. Is there any reason (church rules, etc) that would keep you from possibly dating her if that were to happen? I would take her up on her offer of going for coffee, if you feel comfortable doing so. Then you should be able to judge what exactly she is looking for from you. If you are not interested or comfortable, let her know that you would like to still hang out with the group but are not interested in a personal relationship right now. Continue to hang out with the group and keep it at that. If she persists or begins to act blatantly inappropriate, then you may need to go to your church leader and inform him or her.

I think she wants to be a friend of yours - why? I have no idea, either shes interested in you, or she just think you'll make a great friend. At tthis point, nothing will be appropriate. Either way , if you're new in town, just follow her lead.

And I guess she took your number because she wanted to talk to you - as simple as that. You must have been interesting to talk to , or you must be a good listener - thats why she wanted your number.

Ok the reason why she wanted her number is that she likes you and wants to go out with you! Unless she is one of the teachers or you are under 18 then just be friendly with her but not overly!

Hmm why wouldnt it be. She isnt asking you to have sex on the sanctuary, but to coffee. It seems that she likes you. If you like her, you should go to coffee.
