You shouldn't exercise right after a big meal, but you do want a little something in your stomach. Have a banana, yogurt or a power bar before you work out.

Severe abdominal exercise should always be done before meals...then at least 30 min rest before you eat
Or you can do it 3-4 hrs after a meal
