If you are wanting Bible verses to convince a homosexual that he is wrong, I am not going to help you use the Bible as a weapon to accuse one of God's children.

Words can help convince people in an arguement, but the final test is how you live your life. Any sexual relationships outside of marriage, homosexual or hetrosexual, is still tearing down the value of true, unconditional love.

Love, like gravity, should not change from one day to the next. "I love you ... for tonight at least." is belittling love and the God of love.

If you want it for a bible study or just your own personal research, homosexuals were not called "gays" in the old testament, but "dogs". (ever wonder why the Bible never mention CATS but dogs appear many times?) eg Rev 22:15

I was disappointed with one Bible study that gave excuses for homosexuals and only looked in concordanes for "homosexual" and came to the conclussion that drunks were condemned more thimes than homosexuals were. (but they only found about 3 references)

Read Romans1 and the book Leviticus, and that lady above is a moron- these are just 2 verses that shows god is against this unnatural thing. Sex wasn't designed that way. And anyone who believes in the bible and god and thinks that being immoral in that way is a moron as well.

I meant the lady that says there are no verses

The guy below me is an is also an idiot- and I don't care if I get reported! It must be said or this nation will die for its sins (and I'm not some religious freak- it just makes me so mad to hear this stupidity)

People say that homosexuals were just born that way- but it is an illness- unnatural, immoral. HOW DO YOU THINKS AIDS IS CAUSED?!? And until people realize this millions of people will everyday just because of this sick thing. Thats all I will say. I thought it must be said.

Generally the bible verse that is most often quoted is from leviticus. that a man shall not lie with another man like a woman.

It says it is an abomination unto god.

It is kind of wierd though... in the same chapter it says eating pork is an abomination unto god. But christians follow one and not the other...

This is a great website that describe and goes into detail about how the anti homosexual movement is incorporated in the bible.

Here are the verses. However, we have also to remember that homosexuals are also human beings so we should not discriminate them, but treat them with compassion

•Gen. 1:27 - Male and female He created them (it doesn´t say man and man)
•Lev. 18:22 - You shall not lie with a male as with a woman, it is an abomination
•Lv 20:13 - if man lies with man, both shall be put to death for abominable deed
•Rom. 1:27 - Homosexuality is called unnatural, shameful, and a perversity
•1 Cor. 6:9-10 - Do you not know that the unjust will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived; neither fornicators nor idolaters nor adulterers nor boy prostitutes nor sodomites 10 nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor robbers will inherit the kingdom of God
•1 Tim. 1:9-10 - (the) law is meant not for a righteous person but for the lawless and unruly, the godless and sinful, the unholy and profane, those who kill their fathers or mothers, murderers, 10 the unchaste, practicing homosexuals, kidnapers, liars, perjurers, and whatever else is opposed to sound teaching

i replaced right into a protestant for the time-honored public of my existence. Iam ok knowledgeable in the bible, I quite have been examining and analyzing it when you consider that i replaced into 5 years old.there is no longer something which you would be able to prepare me in the bible that announces the Catholic Church is faulty. Iam now a a convert to the Lord's actual church, the Catholic Church. the only ingredient i discovered in the protestant church homes have been lies and hypocrisy and finally a fashion out of the lies I have been fed for such countless years. Catholic Christian

it doesn't. read this:
http://www.whosoever.org/bible/

all it says is that homosexual rape, homosexual acts for the purpose of idolatry (false idols), homosexual acts with a child, and homosexual adultery is wrong. never, not ONCE does it say that consenting - loving - committed homosexual relationships between adults is wrong.

homosexual activity in the temple by male prostitutes is clearly prohibited by the Hebrew Scriptures (Old Testament).
homosexual activity in general may have been prohibited at the time by the Holiness Code, but that code is no longer binding on Christians today.
St. Paul considered at least some male and female homosexual acts to be forbidden, but it is unclear precisely which acts are included. He may have been referring to temple prostitution, or to people who are not innately gay, lesbian or bisexual engaging in homosexual acts. One should note that Paul also condemned women preaching (1 Cor 14:34) or wearing gold or pearls (1 Tim 2:11). He also accepted and did not condemn the institution of slavery. Some Christians feel that his writings are not a useful guide for ethics and morals in the 20th Century.
Jesus made many hundreds of statements regarding belief and behaviour. However He never mentioned homosexuality.
There are two Biblical same-sex relationships (one between two women, the other two men) reported in the Bible in a positive light. They appear to have progressed well beyond friendship. They were likely homosexual affairs, although not necessarily sexually active relationships:
+ Ruth 1:16, 2:10-11 between Ruth and Naomi
+ 1 Samuel 18:1-4, 1 Samuel 20:41-42 and 2 Samuel 1:25-26 between David and Jonathan. (Some translations of the Bible distort the original Hebrew text, particularly of 1 Samuel 20)

Leviticus 18:20

No man is to have sexual relations with another man; God hates that.

1 Corinthians 6:9-10

Surely you know that the wicked will not possess God's Kingdom. Do not fool yourselves; people who are immoral or who worship idols or are adulterers or HOMOSEXUAL PERVERTS or who steal or are greedy or are drunkards or who slander others or are theives - none of these will
possess God's Kingdom.

Romans 1:27 In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed indecent acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their perversion.

"If a man lies with man as he would with woman he has commited an abomination"
