Because the emotions that come with strong religious beliefs can be overwhelming. You were acting out something from your religion that is very powerful. Could they have been tears of joy? You might be surprised to learn that what happened is not really so unusual, but at the same time, it's quite extraordinary. There's a phrase that comes to mind: The Spirit moved me. Perhaps what you felt was closeness with God, and that's a very emotional moment that has moved even very stoic people to tears. I hope you won't be embarrassed about breaking down in tears. You had a religious experience, and that's something to be grateful for.

I too have strong religious beliefs. I often am faced with a burden, of a sinful nature, (it is questionable that it is going against the Commandments of Jesus) and I ask God for an answer, in the name of Jesus Christ. When the answer comes, it overpowers me with joy and peace to the point I can't contain my tears. I feel as if I'm having the greates sex in the world. But I know it is coming from God, the Father.
It is the Holy Ghost, when he delivered the message he came upon me, and brought great Joy with it.

You can claim the action of the Holy Spirit if you like, but I've seen this happen myself in role-playing exercises that I've done. People do cry real tears in an acting environment. Many professional actors can cry at will.

One: you are so enamored in your beliefs that you cant even think about facing God without breaking down or 2: The mere fact that you were forced to walk up on stage and Pretend to be worshiping was such an awful thought that your subconscious couldn't handle it.

Jehovah's Witness little ones are often nicely rounded out clever little ones that are in a position to supply an evidence of their ideals if the will arises. in case you have a question you are able to ask the youngster (we could say case in point you have been uncertain even if he/she might desire to take part in a definite interest) or in case you desire ask the mummy and father. At any cost, you are able to desire to admire their ideals. lodging? - the colleges I even have adventure with (in uk) are very accommodating on the subject of giving the youngster selection events whilst the class are engaged in issues that conflict with Jehovah's Witness ideals. in this century the place little ones of many distinctive non secular ideals are knowledgeable at the same time, a qualified instructor ought to have not got any project in besides in responding to this situation

there are several possibilities that could explain your behavior:
You are an excitable person, and that situation caused you to be excited.
Somebody was peeling onions next to you.
That place, on the choir stands, has an unconscious connection with some painful childhood memory of yours, which your conscious mind is stopping you from remembering, but it still causes you anxiety and tears.

Nervous, embarassed, or perhaps the idea of a rapture caused you to feel strong emotions.
Many people cry in church because it's the only place they feel they can.

I'm guessing you weren't really much of a worshiper? I believe that you had an encounter with the holy spirit! God did it for a reason, dont know what, but its in his hands! All you need for this to happen again is ask! Just ask him to come into your life like that again, throw your ands up and praise him! If you do it with sincerity he will come for you, his knocking, just let him in!

The only sure foundation of any belief should be based and founded upon the word of God and not mixed with the traditions of men. For only what is in the word of God will stand the test of time and remain forever!

The explanation that I can give you is that you had an intense mental state that aroused automatically in the nervous system. An emotion is often differentiated from a feeling.
