many wars are caused by sheer stupidity.. panama was a good example.. an idiot took more power than his office allowed . Iraq was jut the same. one odiot in power wanted more power than was legal and he ahd to be taken down for the betterment of people. noriega was the same way he needed to be taken down.. as for vietnam.. wish somebody would tell me the cause for that one..pearl harbor brought us into ww2. korea was a political one.

Mankind's desire for wealth and power does play a major role in causing wars, but religion also stirs up the confusion to enhance their methods of obtaining it.
Peace,
Hope

I'd say it's both. Some wars are about religion, other wars are about land, wealth, control of people, and religion is used to disguise the greed.

Sometimes they are just for wealth and power, sometimes it's just for religion. Sometimes it's for wealth and power AND religion. Sometimes it's for wealth and power, and then they use religion as an excuse. Either way, wealth & power and religion are the two main causes of war.

Wars are caused by the children of darkness who desire not only power but to be worshiped. Out of the same mother; they are as different as Cain and Abel.
Both worship but one is a killer and a builder of cities and great things. Not content with life as God gave it without perverting himself and others to his or her own lusts.
The children of darkness convert everything to themselves in all fields of human activity. They are especially religious; because like their father they desire to be worshiped. Power brings worship and wealth is the glitter of power; stolen to produce the poor and sedate the ignorant in a world where true personal freedom in the Lord Jesus Christ exists in pockets; despite the matrix of very real world-wide bondage.
Wake up world. The devil and his powerfull, monied and very religious children of darkness are fixing to have the world's biggest feast; a day of great joy and gladness, of the best food and drink to toast the achievement of mankind!!! Mankind is being gathered into their Global Village of great promise and pain free peacefull glory -------
Trouble is mankind is always on the menu.
You are shown the menu daily.
Do you include yourself in or out of your own question? If you are out and I am out then there are others who are out. Do not read the world by what needs to be done or even by tools like economics. Ask yourself what is not being done, what has never been done before and what most likely never will be done.
The people singing the siren songs of human triumph are the ones to keep in your sights. They know certain things cannot and never will be done; but they continue to play on the hopes of true hearts because that is what they do, that is who they are; servants of darkness for personal gain. And they will organize a charity or a religion to get it done!!!
Peace where there will never be any peace.
Wealth where there will always be poverty.

you are exactly right. War is two tribes not fighting over ideals but power be it gold or a simple ideal it is all the same. They want power over another through use of force of arms.

Wars are caused due to different reasons but mainly due to our want for money. It is believed that in today's world, everything can be achieved by money. Even happiness. We need money to fill our stomach, to buy estates, etc. In short in today's world, no one can survive without money.
This has made human beings greedy and they tend to gain money by hook or by crook. Today's motto is "WHERE THERE IS MONEY THERE IS EVERYTHING"
When one has money he automatically is respected and thus the power lies in his hands. With this power He can do anything. This is why wars are caused mainly to achieve money and power.

This is the Physical Plain aspect.
Government, Capitalism and Technology have a commonality.
They all appropriate and bind.
"Law! vs Money?" or "Money! vs Law?"?
They also appropriate and bind.
How is "it" that the anti-christ will overcome the beast?
How is "it" that the beast will bring the anti-christ back to life?
Could both "it's" be "one" in the same?
There is the Spiritual Plain aspect also.
