Sweetie, this question has been asked so many times. This is merely my take on things.Ok,on the ark,it was said that there were two of every animal.Male, and female,i believe that they were created, and chickens today have evolved from what they were during this time. You cannot have an egg without a chicken, therefore i believe that the chicken was created first. This is my mere take on it.Good luck hun and have a good day!

The chicken and the egg are in bed together, the chicken with a cigarette in its mouth.

The egg mutters to itself, "well, that's that question answered".

However, depending upon your take on the question, the answer would have to be the egg. This is due to the fact that the chicken isn't the only creature to have ever laid an egg, many of the dinosaurs were laying eggs long before the chicken ever came into existence.

Evolutionary wise, the chicken would have evolved from another animal prior to laying it's first therefore in this scenario the chicken came first.

Its all in the asking

the egg came first, laid by an animal that had nearly evolved into a chicken. The DNA changes needed to make a new species can only occur IN THE EGG. Therefore the egg came first.

Depends which Tesco you go to... usually you'll find the vegetables first, then the chicken's in cooked meats, and the egg section is a bit afterwards... not all Tescos are the same though, mark my words... and goodness knows how it's arranged in Sainsbury's...
