Our values are the anchors in our family life. We took the time to really consider what our priorities are, and weed out what we thought were important but in actuality are not core to our life. We had them put on a plaque and point to them when our children get in trouble and ask them to identify which family value they breached, because breaking one of our values is the only reason they would get into trouble.
Our values are Responsibility, Empathy, Ambition, Self-Respect, Gratitude, and Family.

I don't want my DD to judge on others, based on their social and monetary standards or religion.
I want her to be open-minded.
Good behavior is important and good work-ethics.
And to be a nice person in general, but able to say "No", so nobody would use her as a doormat.
