I liked this girl and I confessed my feelings to her. She has feelings for me too and we got into a boyfriend-girlfriend relationship. Well, things ain't so good as we see them.. she told me she is still trying to forget a guy that she once fallen in love for. And the worst thing is, she still gets along with him (I meant in a group of her friends) and she said she felt much more comfortable being with that guy than with me. After some time, she told me that she failed to let him go, and she felt it is unfair for me to remain loving her. She suggested me to give up on her and breakup.. of course I refused, she meant a lot to me and I love her so much. But now I felt both painful and helpless. She does not loves me with her whole heart.. but at least she still have feelings for me. So should I give up or remain to help her forgetting the guy?

Hmm.. the guy doesn't know I'm her boyfriend. And I'm confident and I trust she will forget him, but she just don't have the confidence in herself.

You can never force someone to love you, but at the same time, CMON!!! If yall arent in the 5th grade, i'd kinda say she wants to have her cake and eat it too. She knows who she wants to be with and her stringing BOTH of you along like this is immature and irresponsible. Does the other guy know youre a boyfriend? who is she with when you are all together? Somewhere the honesty is lacking, and i think both of you deserve better. Tell her to get off her emotional *** and let ONE of you know how she feels. Its not an ultimatum choice, its a responsibility choice so that no one gets hurt (any more).

If the guy doesnt know shes yours, i think you should let him know. If shes yours, then he'll back off and she'll respect that you stepped up. She may even be WAITING for you to step up!! Show some dominance.

Depends whether you trully feel that you have a chance in getting her to forget the guy. This could be a very special experience for you if this whole relationship doesnt work out.

She will love you if she will. And if you love her you don't really want her to change. It's tricky. Forgetting stuff isn't very good for your mental health. Try to forget part of your memory, it will take with it other chunks of your memory that you'd like to remember. Better to confront and cope with problems to come to terms.
When you expect someone you love to forget someone else she has deeply loved, of course she could tell you to leave her alone if she doesn't want to forget the guy.
Try not to hurt yourself, or your girlfriend. Good luck.

It's not going to happen, so forget about her, she has already lost her heart and it will never be with you, sorry. You need to find someone who loves you completely and visa versa. This is just wasting your time, move on now.

Seems to me you already know the reality of what you should do...let go of the pain and give it up. She can't commit to a relationship with you and her heart belongs elsewhere. Get out there and find your true soul mate with someone who is prepared to give you their heart and soul.

you can not force someone to love you.. You need to thank her for being honest and move on and allow yourself time to heal and love yourself first. do not date for at least 6mos-1 yr and be your best friend ,have fun and see where you are going... you want someone who you are the one and only for them.. true love....
