If not, what is?

I'm not afraid of anybody with spiritual impulses, I have them myself. I equate religion to churches, spirituality has nothing to do with religion.

No, it's not religion. It's actually humans. Even without religion in this world, wars would still be fought and people would be still murdered. What we need to work on is getting everybody to love each other, but we all know that is impossible.

Absolutely not. No war was ever fought because of religion. Religion is a tool used to inspire others to go to war. To give it a cause that everyone can agree on. Analyze all the wars from 1000 BC until now and look at the causes. It has been and always will be power and control over others. Seizing resources, land, installing a new government.

Many Americans say, today, that the Revolutionary War was fought over religious beliefs. It was not. It was fought over England imposing taxes onto the colonies that they thought were unfair. The founding fathers thoughts about religious freedom were hardly mentioned until after the war and only then because they were forming a new government and that issue needed to be addressed.

The current war in Iraq, even the "civil" war part of it is not about religion. It is about power and control. Who, will, in the end, control the billions of dollars in oil reserves. Jihad is a battle-cry to rally some Muslims to war. 99.9% of the Muslim in the world and even in Iraq, are peaceful and don't want war.

Religion is not our enemy! Stop being afraid of folks with spiritual impulses -- they are not going away. Even secular societies have their own 'creeds' and belief systems, comparable to religions.

Noise is the ultimate weapon. Quiet is the only cure. Try slowing down, shutting down, being quiet, and being with your Self for a little while today -- it's incredibly refreshing!
