Your parents are doing one of two things. They are either trying to keep your sister monitored by someone they think will notify them if something is wrong; or they are trying to make sure that SHE is around to protect YOU. All in all, it's not an over protectiveness issue.
In order to keep your children safe, sometimes you have to make sure that they're being taken care of in situations where you can't go yourself. In either case; they love you, and your sister, enough to try their best to make sure you've at least got SOMEONE who can run for help or help back up a story just in case something happens.
Take it in stride, it could be worse. The alternative is keeping an eye on your older sister (and later, you) themselves. And honestly, when you get older, wouldn't you much rather have your big sister at a party instead of your mom?

wow..im 48 and used to have to do the same thing when my older sisters went on dates..thought that would have changed by now...ur parents should be more trusting..although u didnt say how old both of u are, maybe ur parents could try letting ur sister go on group dates and then you wouldnt have to be sent with her...

You might hate
it now, but later
in life you will be
close, which will be
a good thing. Much
better, that barely
talking! Hang in there,
youth is only a short while.
