I do this all of the time. We should always do this.I have known this for many many years. We need to do this before we take communion as well. We need to do this before we go to bed at night. We need to do this before we start the day.God bless you. You must be a newcomer to the word of God. I am so happy that you have found that this is what we all should be doing!

No.
Prayers are a waste of time. Action is more efficient to achieve things.

Since Jesus lives in me I always think about what I am doing and that whatever I am doing I am making Jesus do because he lives in me. If I cuss I'm making Jesus cuss. If I skip church I'm making Jesus skip church. If I watch a naughty movie I am making Jesus watch a naughty movie. Whatever music I am listening to I'm also making Jesus listen to. What ever book I read I'm making Jesus read. Whatever I wear I'm making Jesus wear. What ever I see I'm making Jesus see, what I hear Jesus hears, what I say I make Jesus say.
