I want to go to summer camp, I have a mind of my own who are you to say that I don't. And by the way I am a girl Mr!! I'm so mad that you would think that I am so dumb that my parents would force me to believe in anything that I don't want to. They do not even force me to go to church on a sunday, they tell me that I can stay here with my maid if I want and that they love me anyway. It's such a shame that you can't feel the love that God gives me. I hope that you one day will believe too. Blessings Cara XX

Isn't 10 years old a little young to begin indoctrination?

Great idea! You go girl! I think it's really good that you're wanting to develop your relationship with God.

There are quite a few you could look into... I've added some web links, so you could check them out.

I know that YWAM do several short term missions each summer, some of which are in the UK. I've been involved with YWAM quite a bit on and off, and I found that a lot of the work they do with kids and young ppl is fantastic. I think it was a one off mission, but in the past I went on a clowning, unicycling, juggling - based "Kings Kids" mission for in which we firstly had a training camp where we put together a show aswell as doing lots of "God - stuff", then we went and performed in the middle of Manchester... I found it a brilliant experience, and would recommend you get in touch with YWAM Kings Kids to see what they'll be up to this summer!

Other places you could try include Faith Camp, New Wine or Grapevine (family camps). There's also the Christian Mountain centre you could investigate (that's an outdoor pursuits centre, again - really fun!) - you may be a bit young for that though, you'd have to find out. I think I went there with a friend when I was 12...

Hope you find somewhere good!

Don't do it! Let him or her go to a fun summer camp that doesn't drum ideas into them but encourages them to be curious about nature and question life instead.

Sorry, but I'm all for the Richard Dawkins approach. I think it's great if you've made your mind up, as an adult, about religion, but children should be free to develop their own ideas, in my book.

Noooo I pray to oh yeah there is nobody there. Dont let him get brainwashed at 10...let him grow up and decide his own way of life.
