Hi im 29yrs old male ive recently been having panic attacks and i went to the dr. I asked him about a cholestoral check and he said ok my results were Total choles was 175 ldl was 96 hdl was 33 and trig was 229 should i be worried about this my total cholest has gone down in july it was 181 and my ldl was 112 and now its 96 im scared again!!!!!!!!!!!!

those are low or within normal limits, controlled easily with meds, or switch to EVOO extra virgin olive oil, increase oatmeal (both lower your cholesterol, & the EVOO helps the good cholestrol # too ------- my cholesterol was once @ 900!!! & my trig have been in the 10000s!!! i love mayo!!! Relax!!! i had my blood drawn once & the blood was topped off with a white fat cream, the guy in the back of the lab said "Is this guy dead"?

Well, you're triglycerides are definitely high. Your total cholesterol and your LDL are fine. Your HDL is too low, which is a risk factor for heart disease. Keep watching your cholesterol and try taking some fish oil capsules for that HDL!

You'll be fine. Relax!

You're giving yourself something else to worry about. Not good with anxiety problems. If your Dr. isn't worried about your cholesterol you shouldn't be either. Trust me, I've been dealing with anxiety for years. Relax.

If you're doc were concerned, they'd tell you. In this case, if nothing were said in that regard, "no news is good news." Don't worry!
