p.s. dude, i'm again in a poem mood?

Question

Read it all till the end, pay attention to the lyrics patiently,
you never know if something out of these becomes an end to your life misery !!!

Why are there 31 days in December, January; July and August, tell me,
and just a 28 in the month of February ???

Americans spend thousands out of no reason and it doesn't itch their collar,
and then they go to the court for just half a dollar !!!

The color of Rose being called rose, Orange orange and Lavender lavender mystifies me,
why isn't yellow referred to as the color lily ???

When alchemist is to alchemy, see,
why is there a chemist, and then, chemistry ???

I decided to do something for my country's increasing population,
be a single all my life,
mating is none of my preference, who says i don't love my nation,
by never ever thinkin' of getting a wife.

These were some of my original writings, peeps,
now comes duplicates, but done in lyrics by me, going in their very deeps.

When atheists go to the court, make me this clear,
do they keep a religious book in front, and make them swear ???

Why do people order french fries and other foods with heavy fat in a restraunt, folks,
when it comes to a cold drink they ask for a diet coke ???

There is a woman in a man's life, brings him in this world crying,
she is SAID to have a heart very pure,
and then comes another one, the man continues to cry rest of his life,
she is the one who makes it sure.

This is the most common one, people think of it as frequently as they think of turd,
as you might have guessed, its the one about abbreviation being such a long word.

Sometimes, i notice that things and their meanings have many similar features,
like for example, politics : poly 'many' + ticks 'blood sucking creatures'

Makes me sure this all is a fantasy,
the fact of never seeing in news "Psychic wins Lottery"

This one i understood recently but knew since i was a tiddler,
that one of the anagrams of 'Mother in Law' is 'Woman Hitler'

Out of them all, the one that i enjoy the most, the one that gives me the most fun,
is the fact that feet actually 'smell' and noses 'run'.

By some unknown person, but you can know his name,
he wrote this at some unknown time,
he will not feel bad if you say the writings are lame,
but you will break his heart if you complain about the rhyme.

I practiced a lot to get good lyrics,
in this process, i put a lot of time on stake.
Not at all like my beloved Physics,
poetry is definitely not my piece of cake.

I majored in lit in college. I'd say for this poem, you need some background on the poet. It starts out kinda sad, with the view. 'Futures I've divorced' most like refers to abandoned hopes and dreams. The 'Don't look back' and knife reference is probably about getting over painful memories. That it no longer cuts implies hope. Or possibly numbness. The stuff on complacency probably means he feels he let someone down by not doing something he should have done. Thus the accusatory voices. The last paragraph is a bit more complicated. My sense is that the narrator learned his life lessons and acted accordingly, thus the immense blessings. This guy sounds like a soldier to me. One that believes that not taking action at some crucial moment caused others harm. Now he's turned that attitude around, and found some peace. He gave up old and futile attempts and took a different approach to life, and he's starting to find his life more rewarding. I don't generally like poems, but my parents spents thousands that they didn't have so I could learn to interpret then. I'm more about novels, though. Again, you'd probably benefit from knowing something of this writer's life. This one is pretty personal, beyond the general sense of the beauty and cruelty of the world I often see in lesser poems.

sometimes only confusion,
sometimes frustration!

Why do you expect one to answer?
Why do you want someone to persevere?
