You know, Jesus was a "liberal" and religious. Back in the day Jesus was a rebel! There is a reason all those Pharisee guys wanted him killed. Most religions are liberal in that they preach tolerance and kindness to all and to "judge not lest ye be judged." The problem starts when people start to believe there is only one way to see right and wrong and only one way to read the text-- their way.
If it is liberal to believe that you should respect each others opinions and engage in an open dialogue that remains peaceful and respectful of each other than I am a liberal and I am religious and shockingly--at peace with myself and others.

With the religious fundamentalist right frequently siding with Republicans I find myself agreeing with liberals and their "crazy" ideas like not stoning gay people and trying some measures to stop dangerous people owning guns.

If by Liberals you mean Democrat No I do not hate them. In fact they follow Christs teaching far more closely that the Republicans do. They help the poor, They feed the hungry. They are not evil! They know that guns in the hand of nervous or angry people kill. I am a Christian who has not let the Republican party brain wash me! Democrats are not "Left" nor are the republicans "Right" Any one who has ever gone to Sunday school as a child learned that God places all good things on his right & bad on his left. By calling themselves "Right" and saying they are the party of morals values they are sending subliminal messages. ( yet they have had homosexuals who intice young boys via the internet, those who have affairs outside of their marriage's,) and many other things that they hush up and blow out of porpition when a Democrat does it. Have you ever read about the good Samaritan in the Bible? The preset passed the sick man by. I would like to think of the Good Samaritan as a Democrat! Get your bible out and read this passage.

Take this kind of crap back to the Politics section where it belongs.
People who use empty phrases and make sweeping generalizations and stereotypes have small minds.
"Liberals" does not accurately describe any one group of people. Perhaps in your mind it does, but in reality, no.
Now, if you want to talk about a specific issue, that's different.
For your information, the Romans probably considered Jesus to be liberal and political, because to them, he constituted a threat to their stability as an "organizer."
Please take your political views to the appropriate category.

I don't dislike liberals...I was one for years! I just think they are misguided...I realize they do not see it that way.
But having been a liberal, I understand where they are coming from. I know that they do not "get it" so to speak. I believe they truly think they are doing the right thing and us conservatives are the ones who are misguided.

The main problem with liberals is because they are the exact opposite of what they claim to be. They pretend that they are liberal which means plentiful or generous but they are against things such as free speech when they do not agree with you and are always shouting others down., They also feel it is their right to control everything about a person from weather they are allowed to have fire arms to how much money a person is allowed to earn. A very scary bunch.

i just know i believe in the lord jesus christ,,,,,,,,,,and i am not here to judge anyone.........or should we dislike people...we should try and show love and kindess to all........it is hard i know with so much going on in this world that we can not agree with at all..........but the important thing is to believe in the lord jesus christ and live the best you can for him
