maybe its a printing error. try querying it with the customer services phone line on th e packet.

personally i dont see anything wrong with a slice of bread thats 167cals. everything (food) these days seems to be starved of cals but everyone wants to scrutinise under & over weight people

its not how many calories it has its the kind of diet and amount of exercise you have that is important.

you can eat whatever you like as long as its in moderation and still be healthy. a few decades ago people didnt care what 167cal was. today 167cal could be somebody's meal.

Firstly, wholemeal has more in it, those grains aren't empty they contain calories. Secondly: Sugar. Yeast needs something to help it rise and sugar is used, but a lot of the time they put in more sugar than the yeast can eat which gives that bread smell a sweeter taste.

The key here is "wholemeal". It's made a different way than most bread.

It is a disgrace.

You should only feed on grass and birdseed to be on the safe side.
