On ebay what is the difference between region1 & region2 dvd's? And being in the UK which ones should i buy?

Region 1 is the USA and runs on NTSC dvd players
Region 2 is the UK and runs on our PAL dvd players.
unless you have a mutliregion dvd player which will play anything

region 1 is american so therefore youl need a multi region dvd player,region 2 is english,a pacific dvd player is multi region!
