As a student nurse, my goal was simply to get through my studies, to acctually fully qualify to become a registered nurse, ive now been a district nursing sister for almost ten years, my next goal is go into midwifery, or diversional therapy, at this point, the best thing is to take each day as it comes, because in an industry like this you need to think more about the well being of those you are taking care of, rather than where you will be this time, next year.

I am a nursing student and I am about to graduate with my BSN in June. My goal when I got into nursing school was to be completely open-minded and willing to try anything. I wanted to seek out as many learning opportunities as I could and practice as many skills as I could. I also wanted to find out what area of nursing I wanted to work in, but that didn't happen!! I have loved everything!! Nursing school is hard! My goal now is to survive one more quarter and pass my boards!!! :)

as a student nurse your goal should be to learn as much as you can and to get a good Foundation for your nursing skills. You dont need to know it all but know your weaknesses never be afraid to say i dont know and then go find out. You will never know everything. The smartie pants in school usually do know a lot but dont know how to deal with people so make sure you have awesome people skills too.

To be nice to your patients, and don't treat them like dirt.
An, oh, yes about your goal: your goal should be never to answer a patient's bell, especially in an emergency. In my experience most experienced nurses have already achieved that goal.

To get through your training days with the least amount of stress possible!
To come out the other side with a wide general knowledge of all areas of your training.
To gain confidence in working by yourself and to cope with shiftwork and living away from home dealing with other peoples problems.
