You remind me of my 1st wife, she did exactly the same thing. I put up with it for 8 years and finally just got fed up. Although we tried counseling for 3 years of that 8 nothing seemed to work with her. I finally had to call it quits. Because it gets to a point where a person who is doing what you do can cause so much frustration in a relationship simply because of the way your behavior changes.
If i were you the next time he asks what is wrong you better open up and tell him what's on your mind. Because, answering with "Nothing" tends to get old very quickly and while i was persistent and supportive for 8 years most people won't put up with this type of behavior for very long. Open up and speak to your man about what it is that's bothering you. Otherwise he's going to take a hike and leave you.
One more thing, my now ex that did this exact same thing, eventually opened up to her Psychiatrist/Counselor and admitted that she did this type of thing as a form of getting back at a person who abused her when she was younger. While she thought it was funny, the person that experienced it (me) never found it a bit amusing.

If you push someone away enough times they feel you don't care for them and will look for a girl that does. And maybe deep down you want to look for another because your tired of your boyfriend but want admit it to yourself.
