your better off going for taste rather than ABV otherwise you'll end up hanging out with the kids round a park bench drinking a bottle full of chemicals and the closest it has been to an apple is the picture on the label ! But seriously - Westons range (Tesco & Morrisons) offer good quality with a fairly high strength and so does the Thatchers brand. But if your ever in the west midlands you must visit 'the cider house' near Bewdley their 'special' is awesome - tasty and it will effect your legs like no other can !!!!

Cider naturally ferments to only about 6 - 6 1/2%. But here in Québec cider-makers are allowed to chapitalize and some do so to make ciders of !0 - 12%. I assume such is done in other cider-making areas of the world perhaps even to greater strengths.
