I lost 105 pounds in 6 months. Here is how I did it.
1. Every morning get up and walk for 45 minutes. You can start with less time, but you want to get up to 45 minutes, and it must be fast walk. You want your heart rate to go up. It must be in the morning, it kick starts your metabolism.
2. I cut out Red Meat, and fatty foods. Boneless skinnless chicken breast, baked, or grilled, rice and vegetables (steamed).
3. Eat half. Just eat half of what you normally eat. Put 1/2 on your plate, and put the rest away. Cook less. When you go to fast food, get salads only. Or grilled chicken. No fries, only diet soda. Or water.

It will work, once you get into a routine, you will get hooked on the results, and you will keep the routine. It has been over a year for me.

Also start counting your calories. Write them down. You would be amazed as to how much more aware you are of your caloric intake, if you actually write it down. We recently discovered a site that offers a great program that counts calories, as well as keeps track of everything. It allows multiple users, so everyone in the family can keep track. They offer a free 7 day trial, and so far I am very impressed with the product. Try the 7 days and see. It allows you to add the exercise that you do during the day, which increases the amount of calories you can take in. Very Cool!!

Stay motivated, and get up and walk every day. I seriously lost all my weight starting off my day on my walk.

Good LUCK!

Being healthy is the slowest possible way to die. We're all going to die someday and the difference between a salad eater and a meat eater is about 5 years. So you might die when you're 90 or 95???

I believe anything is ok, but be it in MODERATION. Don't eat the the whole cake, just a slice. Don't eat the whole cow, just a nice portion. I have a healthy cholesterol count of 3.3 (1.5 which is actually healthy cholesterol) and I eat anything I like, just not too much of anything.

Many people ask me how they can slim down. I recommend that people eat right and exercise. However, if they would like a little "help", I suggest using natural Hoodia (it's important to note that not all Hoodia works well, even if the bottle says "pure" or "standard").

The Hoodia sold at http://www.aboutu2.info/free-diet-pills.php is in my opinion the best Hoodia on the market. It's pure, has no side effects, and they give you a free 15 day sample (there is a $6.95 shipping and handling charge).
Fantastic results have been seen with this particular Hoodia.

There is not one perfect diet for everyone. Eating in moderation will help you lose weight and stay healthy. Stick to lean protein (fish, chicken), lots of fruits, veggies and whole grains. Limit sweets.

A lifestyle of eating all foods (without trans fat and partial hydrogenation) in moderation while being active in all you do in life. Yes, it does keep you healthy and at your ideal weight.

Eating a variety of fruits, vegetables, meats, pastas etc., using fat in moderation, and only eating one or two servings of each item.
imo portion size is the main key to healthy eating.

Don't eat any processed foods. No fast foods. Cook your own organic food unless you eat them raw.

Exercise and drink enough clean water. Don't drink tap water that contains fluride or sewer.

Stay informed. Do research. Don't trust everything you hear or read. Try to make informed decisions.

It depends on your Blood Type...

For "O"s, Meat, fruit, eggs, nuts...

For "A"s, Grains, vegetables, bread, fish, chicken, beer...

For "B"s, Dairy & anything else that is balanced...

For "AB"s, a combination of "A" & "B"...
