Changing foods can cause this but there is also a recall on dog and cat foods...so check the list. Iams is one on the list

Many dogs have delicate digestive systems. If you are going to change brands, do it slowly. I switched over by changing one quarter of each bowl at a time. 1/4 new food to 3/4 old food the first day, 1/2 to 1/2 second day etc. This only took 4 days and my dogs had no more problems.

Yes switching food can cause a dog to vomit..I would give it a day or two and if he/she is still vomitting then switch back to the regular brand. If the vomitting stops in a day or so then it was just the dog adjusting to the change if he/she continues to vomit then the new brand does not agree with his/her system,,Best Wishes

There is probably some ingredient in the beneful that does not agree with your dog, if you are looking for a good food that does not cost too much , go the costco and buy the kirkland signature premiun food they have a couple formulas that does not include all the junk beneful has in it

I would suggest mixing the food together so it is an easier transition. Dogs have a weak stomach and small changes can upset them. Make sure the dog isn't getting another human food that would be upsetting him. But if the dog is still throwing up in a day you should take him the vet. He will get dehydrated and very sick then.

If you change foods to quickly, it can cause vomiting. Mix the foods together slowly throughout 7 days (or less) so that your dog can get used to the other food slowly.

if you didn't gradually change the food and just switched then it's probably the cause of the vomiting.

Stop feeding immediately. There's a recall on dog and cat food and many have gotten sick or died.
