Kids today expect to be entertained. They don't get to develop an imagination. Give them each a pair of kids scissors and let them cut up the newspaper. Take the cushions off the sofa, put on the floor and make a tent with a large sheet over the sofa. Can camp out under there. Bake a batch of cookies or make some jello drink. Just like regular jello but sip thru straws before it hardens. Is good. Play with them and see what ya can make with the playdoh. Sit at the kitchen table with crayons and a big sheet of paper and you and your boys draw a picture of a dog or whatever. My kids used to go outside for a while every day. No matter how cold it was. Just bundled them up, scarves over their mouths if real cold(so they don't breath in the cold air). Don't have to stay out for a long time. Take a walk with them. When ya come inside make some hot chocolate and have some cookies with it. Don't forget the marshmallows. Read them a story. Reading to them promotes them to become good readers as well.

Chances are good that they're interested in playing with MOM not just one another all the time. I know, they're so close in age and they probably play well together a lot, but sometimes it's adult attention that they're needing. It's possible that if YOU just sit with them and play with some of these same toys they may find a newfound interest in them! There's lots of other ideas that I can think of, but most of them are going to include you as a play mate. Check out the source below for ideas... and don't forget to have fun with your kids!

I guess they are tired of things!
They want you and your participation perhaps!
Read to them!
Make music together!
Use ice cream buckets for drums!
A kazoo with a comb and tissue paper!
Two lids for cymbals.
Clean the floor the have them but on big socks and polish it with their feet! Show them how they can use a skating motion! Good exercise for mom too!
Make pizza!
They can help with the chopping. Give them a dull knife!
They love knead the dough if you are making your own. They can build their own little pizza with their own choice of toppings!
Make together, a banana split with three spoons to share!
Not too many calories!
Do some yoga together! Name the poses! Give the poses exciting names like Warrior! Superman! Flat as a pancake! you get the Idea !
Enjoy your afternoon!
Treasure these days!
Soon they will be grown up!
And live far away!

maybe if you have sum cake mix you could get them helping you to bake cakes-they would really enjoy that. - i did this with the 5 1/2 yr old i look after-he really enjoyed himself.
another thing you could do is get them to d some sort of collage. get them loads of old magazines and give them a piece of plain a4 or a3 paper and pva glue-and scissors and get them cutting out and sticking - you could tell them they could make it for you-so you might want to leave the room.
another thing-is a treasure hunt-hiding there toys-see the answer that "Eve H" left you.
or what about taking them swimming? that would be fun.
good luck

Sit down with them and talk or read them a story. Or do some cooking with them, or do some housework with them. What they REALLY want is your attention and your company - don't you remember when you were little - what you really wanted was Mum to play with you, or do anything with you.
If you've got housework to do, do it together and make it fun - it will take twice as long when they are this little, but the payoff comes later, when they know how to do a bit of housework. And they will love doing things with you.

find some little toys they like , get the kids to close their eyes and you fide the toys all over the house , where their allowed to go , write a list of what you,v hidden , ask the kids to go and find them . honestly it takes ages, reward them with something nice when game is over, and they,ll want to do it again . on another day, hope it works for you , it did me.

Go to the mall and get a good old fashoned board game they like or if you have like a chucky cheese's or a indoor play park. Its money but they will have a great time and thank you for it. Plus its great to get them active to combat the rising child obesity rate (not at all saying your kids are) but kids are not as active now days as we were as kids
