How would you get a friend to stop using drugs?

Coke, E, booze this kid is out of control what should I do?

I tried to get my friend to start going to the gym and come chill at my place, you know giving him other things to do but I can tell he just comes over messed up.. Should I just stop hanging out with him or is there something I can do?

they will wake up one day don know wen but they will. just hang in there sound s like ur doing the right thing trying 2 motorvate ur friend.theyll find there way i did all it took was one look at my little cozin that idelizes me and it broke me i stopped and never looked bak i use every day smoke an ounce of weed snort a weight then go 2 the pub passout in parks not know were i am theres always hope its never 2 late

You can't make anybody do anything, and you have little influence over a person who is not entirely... themselves.

He may not realize he has a problem, or you may define 'problem' differently. Make a movie of his more horrifying moments.

If he does not have any, then maybe this is use, not abuse, and you need to examine your motivations.

If he does, then download it to his screen saver pictures, and walk away.

If he quits he will be grateful, but he will probably merely hate you forever.

Nothing you can do short of getting him busted thats what it took for me to get off dope i had lots of friends telling me i was out of control but i just didnt see it. Buts getting sent to prison for 2 yrs woke my @ss up even today every once in awhile i feel the dope calling hard and all i got to do is remember the time wasted in jail and i can overcome the calling. Going to prison probably saved my life sad but true

you can take away his drugs but he'll get more, you can have him arrested but they wont hold him long on drug charges and then he will just be out doing drugs and hating you for it. When someone does drugs, it changes who they are. The person who did not do drugs may listen to your advise but the person who does drugs will probably blow you off and tell you that you just don't understand them. Its their life, there is nothing you can do about it. You can suggest they stop, you can beg them, you can tell them how much it bothers your or hurts you but if they are deep into drugs, only their own experiences will get them to stop. I tried for months to get my best friend off of drugs but nothing i could say or do would get her to stop. Now i barley talk to her, she claims she is clean now but the one thing you have to remember about people who do drugs, they will lie and deceive you to get you to stop bothering them about their habit. You might just have to walk away and hope they find their own way. If you except their habit, your just enabling them. it sucks but its true.

Introduce them to a Person who loves him so much.. he would send his own son to die for him... and a plus.. i'm sure he's heard of people dying from useing or while under the influence of drugs, so it should be simple is he willing to admit that he's dumb or smart..??
