God has to choose to save you through the spirit of Christ. Although you do not need to be Christian for this to happen because it usually happens to people that we're sinners. Once it happnes and you recieve the trinity, you start to talk to God as if he is right there with you and you start to see thing s like Jesus did. It all starts from wanting to change inside and out and to have a desire to not sin and please God.
