well today while i cleaned my house around 6/7 pm, i heard a woman shouting outside my house so i peeked out thru my window and saw this lady in her 40's chanting something like "I Bind you for leaving you'r family I bind you s"omething something" and while chanting this she made a cross figure with her hand in the air... she was chanting this to the house in front of mine. she was wearing a long brown coat and was walking with a black cane... it really freaked me out. I have heard of wiccans and stuf but never really saw something like it, does any body know what this could have been? or if she put a spell on my neighboors. After she was done she just walked away...

Yeah, that's a binding spell. I'm sure she thinks it will work.

Hmmm.

1) The religion of the person chanting outside your neighbor's house is impossible to say based on your brief description. Her clothes are largely irrelevant. Heck, given the fact that she made a cross, she could well be Christian.

2) I think it's unlikely that she's a Wiccan for two reasons. First, Wiccans generally won't do binding spells -- the Law of Threefold Return makes it too likely to backlash on the caster. And second, most Wiccans perform their spells in privacy, not shouted out in the public street.

3) She might be a witch of some description, though. There are some Christians who practice witchcraft.

Hope this helps.

I really doubt she was a witch, however, there are many sects in Witchcraft just as there are many different Christian faiths. Spells do work and Witches tend to be private in their spellwork. Find out more about the Wicca religion at the link below.

Binding "spells" only work if you believe they will. Manipulating energies is very serious business and anything sent out will always return to the sender. That is why it is important to know what you are doing and to always use these abilities in the proper way for the right purpose.

As a guess, there are many who practice white magic which is generally considered good, but it is not, as all magic is from evil sources since God tells us NOT to practice it. Now, if God tells us NOT to practice it, then there must be a danger since he gives is a warning. Anyway, these people claim to be Christian like, hence, this is why they make the sign of the cross. It runs along the same lines of psychic, in matter of fact, some claim to be psychics. Probably a family member "binding" or to prevent, a, what sounds like, family from splitting up. Or it could have been a case where the person was hired for the same purpose. Bind is a world associated with witchcraft. Either way, it is not of God, even if they are making the cross. I don't think you have anything to worry about, as it was not directed to you. I don't know your beliefs, but if it were me, I wouldn't be afraid even if it were at me as I belong to God and am saved by the blood of Christ, known can take that away. It is my hope that you also are. None the less, not directed at you, I don't think you have anything to worry about.

a bind is suppose to stop someone from doing something bad.... i wouldnt worry about it she is probably just a nut case but if you see someone flying by on a broom then you should be scared...

It sounds like she was having a bad withdrawal from something.

Hmm.. maybe if something does happen to your neighbours, witchcraft might really exist. You might want to tell your neighbors if you know them well.. they might know why she did that.. if you see her again, pay closer attention and see if she does anything serious..
