can anyone help as cant think what to write in wedding invitations , making own cards and want some wording for it but want something funny as not into formal or slushy stuff, the wedding is 4pm then a jiving lesson at 6pm then disco and buffet at 7pm , i have started the first line it starts with son and rich are getting hitched on the 7th of july.Well heres hoping someone out there is creative and can come up with the rest :-)

I wish to inform you that as from (date of wedding) at (time of wedding), I will officially share my bed and make love to (name of fiance). So you are all invited to assist to the official ceremony. Because its a tradition, I will have to feed you all that day and so if you don't have enough food in your house, come to my place only on that day at (time of buffet).

Son and Rich are getting hitched on July Seven
We want to make this a special day to make them think they're in heaven
So come along and see them wed promptly at 4 noon
Please be on time, don't be late but also don't arrive too soon
At six o'clock we ditch the suits and the party comes alive
If you haven't learned how then now's the time to teach yourself to jive
An hour of music then time to relax and sit down with a glass of wine
So the buffet starts at 7pm and probably goes on till nine
we'd love you to be part of Son and Rich's special day
So please reply, tell us you'll come and that all will be OK

If you make the invitations sound casual and funny then guests will show up dressing however they want (maybe in jeans). If that is ok with you then go ahead. If you want people to take your wedding seriously and show up in formal or semi formal attire then dont make a "funny" or casual sounding invitation. I have no advice for funny invitations because wedding invitations are suppose to be formal sounding and serious, not funny.

My sister gets married that day 07-07-07!!!
Son and Rich are about to get hitched
on the 7th of July at 4.00 pm.
