The best thing is to just be there. It's helps so much to know you have a friend you can always count on and talk to about anything. Going out helps. Somehow getting dressed up and having a night on the town makes people feel better. It's important not to let your friend just sit and home and think about the situation over and over. Go see a funny movie even! In the end what you do is not as important as the fact that you are there for your friend no matter what. They are luck to have you.

I don't know much about Indian custom, but I am very good at comforting my friends in their time of need. The best thing you can do for him is be there. Let him know that you understand his heartbreak. The best thing for him to do is to get out and do things - fun things. Go out and meet great new people. Get a hobby - to take his mind off things. I can imagine how hard it would be for both of them - its painful to love someone so much and then lose them. In regard to the convocation - it was probably a good idea not for him to go. If she brought her husband it could be very uncomfortable and unhappy for him.

What is yours will be yours and what isn't yours will never be, no matter how hard you try to get it. So its better to leave everything in god's hand. He knows and does what is best for us. So, if your friend really loves that girl, you should make him understand that everything is not over yet, not until he takes his last breath. You never know what will happen tomorrow. So, if the girl has been made for him, then even if she's gotmarried to someone else, she will come back to him. Have trust in God as he will paved the way for that to happen. He just have to be strong and patient, and should always continue to be the person that he has always been. If the girl is not destined for him, that means there will be someone better who has been made for him. as a friend, you should try your best to make him understand this fact.

help your friend take him out to interesting places and make him meet other people.tell him to try to forget about the girl because she is now married and if he goes on with the girl he would be helping her to cheat on the new husband.please tell him it is not the end of the world he would meet someone he truely loves more than the one who is now married.he should also not rush in having a girl to satisfy his conscience but to find real love.all the best.
