This depends on why you want to strengthen your eye muscles of course.. As a child I had a squint/"Lazy eye" and routinely went to see the opthamologist at the hospital. I was given cards on a regular basis which were exercises to strengthen my eye and prevent surgery (unfortunately i had two ops but that is by the by!) Basically these cards forced my eyes to work together instead of independantly hence strengthening the eyes.

Other excercises were bringing a pencil to your nose tip while looking at it (making your eyes cross and the pencil go out of focus); looking at an object in the distance then one close up and vice versa.

Searching eye exercises in any search engine will bring up simliar if not the same tools i was given as a child.

Here are a couple of exercises for your eye muscles:

* Concentrating on a particular object serves as an excellent solution to strengthen your eye muscles. You can hold a pen in your hand and concentrate on its tip for a couple of seconds. It is one of the simplest eye strengthening exercises and also one of the most effective one.
* Keep your head straight and look at something on your left side and then on right hand side. Keep doing this exercise for about 10-15 times.
* Keeping your head straight, look upwards and then downwards. Do about 10 -15 reps.
* Another fantastic exercise is to roll your eyes completely.

The need for eyeglasses is purely physiological. It is not anything that anybody did wrong or can do to prevent it. At a certain age vision will change more frequently, usually between age12-20 or so and then tend to level off to more minor changes through the years. The only thing is corrective eye surgery if you don't want glasses or contacts. no magic potion to drink or special exercises will stop anyone from needing glasses if they require them.

if your cross eyed... You should probably put a patch over your strong eye to make the other have to work to get back to where it needs to be.. This is what My little sister is doing right now. The eye doctor said it takes a little time, but it beats having to get an expensive laser surgetry. She has to wear it for a certain amount of hours a day, then take take it off towards the end of the day. She hates it, but we can already see results!

I'd be asking an optometrist! You can damage your eyes by doing silly things recommended by random strangers! :)
