Do you mean "Reader's Theatre?" That's where actors sit on stools on an empty stage, and read a play. They do limited rehearsals to get familiar with the plot, characters, and rhythms of the play, then read it in front of an audience. It's a good way for new playwrights to hear their work read by actors, and get feedback from the audience and performers.
