1984 was the last time the 2 countries met in a Home International game, as that was the last year the tournament took place.
The most recent games between them were a 2 legged play off for the 2000 European Championships, in November 1999. England won 2 0 at Hampden thanks to 2 Paul Scholes goals but lost 1 0 at Wembley 3 days later.
By the way Robocop, the game against Germany was almost a year later, October 2000 to be precise. This was a 2002 World Cup qualifier.

the last game at home was a qualifier for the euro 2000 on November 1999 when THEY won, however
wembley was due to be torn down and the last game was against Scotland. Proudly we won and the manky mob down south couldnt stomach the fact they got pure mad humped by us they scheduled another game against Germany, who were pretty poor at the time, thinking they would win the last game at Wembly against another bitter rival.
they lost 1-0 thanks to Dietmar Hammann.
The Old Wembly was torn down with Engerland losing thier last game there. Get it up yees...
i would love another Scotland v England soon, especially with McLaren incharge as he hasnt a clue
