Fish need to be fairly closely related to each other to breed. Swordtails and platies belong to the same genus, Xiphophorus, and can interbreed, but guppies and mollies are both Poecilia and even that is not a close enough relation to interbreed.

Swordtails and platies can hybribise, but I have never known guppies or mollies to hibribise with other species. I have been keeping all sorts of tropical fish since I was in my teens and now own a pet and aquatics store in the UK.

No.
However, Swordtails, Xiphophorus helleri can mate with Platies Xiphophorus maculatus however, and often the ones you find in the store have a little of the other in them.

No. I've had them in my tank and that's never happened. But.. the other fish tend to eat the baby guppies, yum. :)
