Boredom is the root EVIL to any long term relationship. The impact could very well lead to one of the partners in that relationship to seek relief somewhere else.

Boredon negates romanticism. There are so many avenues that one can go down to relieve boredom. If this is effecting your relationship then I suggest that you look for ways to liven it up. Be playful, but not pushy, be demanding but not overbearing. Look for things that your partner is interested in and use those to your advantage in bringing romance back into the relationship.

Say that you partner is more interested in watching tv then watching you. Use the tv to be more playful with them. How? Make a date to watch tv with them but instead of just sitting on the couch and watching tv; sit on the floor on a blanket. Bring snacks, whipped cream and wear a nightie, if you are female.

Make a game of your relationship, do things together even if it just going to the local McDonald's. Do things that you never did before. But above all communicate. Talking can be fun.

Boredom is serious. I broke up a marriage after 10 years because of this very reason. I kept telling my husband that I felt like the "fizz" had gone out of our marriage. He would not do anything about it. I asked him about counseling, and he told me that since I was the one with the problem, I should go alone. I had known this man since we were 14, and married him when I was 23. If only he had taken heed that something was wrong. Boredom can kill a relationship.

Look up relational dialectics and theory. Relational dialectics addresses the pulls between relational predictability (boredom) and novelty (new). Becoming too predictable can actually be detrimental to a relationship. In theory, relationships are supposed to evolve into something deeper as time goes on. You find other things to occupy your time such as children, careers and the pool boy.

Sexual boredom is a very common complaint that marriage counselors hear about. If you look around at the married people you see, it's not hard to figure out why.

The good news is that such marriages aren't in much danger from poachers.

you will look for something that levels up yourself if you feel bored on your relationship, you will look for someone or look for something... break ups doesn' t mean that just end or forgot yesterday, it will teach you what you will do.. if you will not learn,... time... consequences...that will teach you...that's only my opinion... thank you and god bless...
