Yes I don't think it will be Hillary however. I never though Louisiana would have ever had a woman governor but we do and I voted for her, my point is it won't matter much the same people that press there agenda, the media and those lobbing support for male contenders are still doing that it really doesn't matter. But in presidential elections the popular doesn't count like in governor election so even if we get a woman president you can expect the same traditional style of government. We have to do there dirty work no matter who is in office.

If Clinton wins the election, America has definitely 'evolved'. The fact that a woman could make it as president would opened up doors to a new era.
Just imagine: a black president or a woman as a president!
we'd definitely enter a more modern time
.. putting an african american in the white house would mean a lot to all colored people in the states(in the world for that matter) ..and it would mean that we have moved on and are entering a new peaceful and perhaps even revolutionary time.

they may but not with my vote and I am female...weird huh?
I actually held office for Mayor but was only in a small town, but I have seen so many women that let something like that go to their head and become "above" everyone that I just don't feel comfortable voting for one. As for their leading roles in the world today, ok I know they do and can, some have even been good at the jobs...better than some men in fact...but I'm just not ready to go that far with what we have been offered for President so far...in the future a woman could change my mind

Certainly- many countries have had a female head of state- including supposedly backward Muslim nations like Pakistan and Indonesia (proof is in the pudding isn't it?).
Hopefully it will be a woman elected on her merits alone, rather than charm, physical attractiveness or her gender alone.
Male or female- doesn;'t matter as long as they are good, MORAL JUST leaders that's the crucial issue.
Maybe we do need a woman Pres- there'll be less sex scandals and she may even turn out to be honest.
Maggie Thatcher was seeen by many to have saved Britain, Megawati Sukarnoputri (whom I met once) was thought to be a heroine of her people as was Benazir Bhutto...
I just wanted to add- I don't think Hillary would be a good President as she supports too many of Bush's damaging policies in my view... and Rice is a moron ex-drunk
I'm thinking more along the lines of hmmmm... dunno

Yes, assuming we get out of the dark ages where the question is even a real question as this question is right along there with:
Will we ever have a President who is 7' tall?
one who is 260LBS?
one who is black?
one who is Hispanic?
one who has big feet?
What really matters is if the person can do the job.

I think it's possible and the country is ready. However, I DO NOT believe Hilary has a snowballs chance. She has too much baggage. I for one will vote against her no matter who runs against her. Hopefully, she won't even make the party nomination. The woman is despicable with her socialistic views, which in my mind are anti-American.

Not in hillary's time.....she's just too moronic
It will happen, but she would have to be a damned good politician. Once she was elected, she would have to stand firm and stay straight. If she endures, more women will follow.
It's the first one that gets the brunt of the blow.
